AMH test, as part of a full fertility workup
AMH (anti-Müllerian hormone) gives an estimate of ovarian reserve. In Gala Fertility it is one of her fertility hormones, tested with FSH, estradiol, LH, prolactin and TSH, and reviewed by a clinician together with her pelvic ultrasound and his results.
For male-female couples, both partners 18 or older.

What AMH measures
AMH is a hormone made by the small follicles in the ovaries. Its level gives an estimate of ovarian reserve. It is one piece of information, not an answer on its own, which is why your clinician reads it together with your other results.
When to take it
AMH is not affected by cycle timing. Her other cycle-day hormones are read on day 2 to 5 of her period, so all of her bloodwork is done in that window, at a Quest lab that takes walk-ins.
Read together with the ultrasound
Her pelvic ultrasound counts the small follicles in each ovary. Your clinician looks at it alongside AMH and her other hormones, then explains what they mean on your video visit.

When in-person care comes first
Some findings are best treated in person, such as blocked fallopian tubes, low ovarian reserve, changes in the uterus or certain semen results. If your results show one of these, your clinician refers you to a fertility clinic or a reproductive urologist and explains why.
Her tests
All of it is included. Open any test to see what it measures.
Her
Fertility hormonesAMH, FSH, estradiol, LH, prolactin and TSH.
AMH gives an estimate of ovarian reserve. FSH, estradiol and LH show how your ovaries and brain are signaling at the start of your cycle. Prolactin and thyroid (TSH) can both affect ovulation.
Preconception screeningHIV, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis, plus immunity to chickenpox (varicella), rubella and measles.
Infections are best treated before trying to conceive, and it helps to know whether you are protected against infections that matter in pregnancy. Chlamydia and gonorrhea use a urine sample.
Pelvic ultrasoundA transvaginal ultrasound of the ovaries and uterus.
It counts the small follicles in each ovary and looks for cysts, fibroids or differences in the shape of the uterus. A clinician orders it after reviewing your intake, and the imaging team contacts you to book it.
Bloodwork at a Quest lab, walk in, no appointment needed. Go on day 2 to 5 of your period (day 1 is the first day of full flow): the cycle-day hormones are read then.
Questions, answered
Is the AMH test included?
Yes. AMH is part of her bloodwork in the program, with no extra cost for tests.
Can we order just an AMH test?
No. Gala Fertility is a program for couples: AMH is one part of a full workup for both partners, not a standalone test.
What if her AMH comes back low?
Your clinician reviews it with all of your other results and explains what comes next. Low ovarian reserve is one of the findings best treated in person, so your clinician may refer you to a fertility clinic and explain why.
When do we see our results?
In your portal, once a clinician has reviewed them. Your video visit then covers what they mean and what comes next.
