How it works

  • Answer one intake, together. Your health and history, with a few questions for each of you. All online, from your sofa.
  • Get tested. Her bloodwork and ultrasound at a location near you (the lab takes walk-ins). His semen analysis with a kit at home.
  • Meet your clinician. Every result reviewed, then explained to you both on one video visit.
  • Your plan, one cycle at a time. If it’s right for you, medication shipped to your door each month, with a check-in after every cycle. Up to six cycles.

When in-person care comes first

Some findings are best treated in person, such as blocked fallopian tubes, low ovarian reserve, changes in the uterus or certain semen results. If your results show one of these, your clinician refers you to a fertility clinic or a reproductive urologist and explains why.

The tests, in detail

A full workup for both of you

All of it is included. Open any test to see what it measures.

Her

Fertility hormonesAMH, FSH, estradiol, LH, prolactin and TSH.

AMH gives an estimate of ovarian reserve. FSH, estradiol and LH show how your ovaries and brain are signaling at the start of your cycle. Prolactin and thyroid (TSH) can both affect ovulation.

Preconception screeningHIV, hepatitis B, hepatitis C, chlamydia, gonorrhea and syphilis, plus immunity to chickenpox (varicella), rubella and measles.

Infections are best treated before trying to conceive, and it helps to know whether you are protected against infections that matter in pregnancy. Chlamydia and gonorrhea use a urine sample.

Pelvic ultrasoundA transvaginal ultrasound of the ovaries and uterus.

It counts the small follicles in each ovary and looks for cysts, fibroids or differences in the shape of the uterus. A clinician orders it after reviewing your intake, and the imaging team contacts you to book it.

Bloodwork at a Quest lab, walk in, no appointment needed. Go on day 2 to 5 of your period (day 1 is the first day of full flow): the cycle-day hormones are read then.

Him

HormonesFSH, LH, TSH, total and free testosterone, and SHBG.

These show how the hormones behind sperm production are working, and check thyroid function.

Semen analysisVolume, pH, concentration, motility and morphology.

How much semen there is, how many sperm, how well they move and how they are shaped. We tell you exactly how to complete it once your clinician requests it.

If your clinician indicates it, bloodwork at a Quest lab, walk in, no appointment needed. His results live in your shared account.

Questions, answered

Who is Gala Fertility for?

Male-female couples who are trying to conceive, with both partners 18 or older. You join as a couple: one shared intake, and both of you get tested.

What if we have already tried other options?

Tell us what you have tried in your intake. Your clinician reviews that history alongside both partners’ results and discusses what makes sense next, including a referral when needed.

Can we get pregnant in the first cycle?

No specific timeline or pregnancy outcome can be promised. Your results guide the next step. Treatment, if appropriate, is prescribed one cycle at a time for up to six cycles; if you are not pregnant after six cycles, your clinician refers you to an in-person fertility clinic.

What does the price include?
